Ten Months

At ten months, you have started to crawl regularly and are trying to pull yourself up onto things. You point with your index finger and are mimicking more and more sounds. You continue to love your dog, Turk, and will share his chewy with him. You love watching him run after his toys in the yard and make little barking sounds at him. He is very gentle with you and loves you too.

You really enjoy water, and we are excited to start your swimming lessons in June. You reach for the hose when we water the flowers and garden, and you giggle when you get wet. You also love showering with mom or dad, and still love splashing during bath time.

During the day with dad you hang out and help with chores, play on the floor, and run around in your walker. You're getting super fast and like chasing Turk and opening cabinets in the kitchen and reaching for things.

You are eating more and more solid foods instead of baby food. Picking things up to put into your mouth is becoming easier. You have one tooth on the bottom in the front, and are working on a couple more. This makes eating even more fun.

Miss Hannah, your babysitter, took these pictures of you and she said you didn't like the slide or the feeling of grass on your feet. We are looking forward to having her teach you how to swim this summer since she is a lifeguard at the pool.

Going for a walk with dad in the stroller is still one of your daily adventures. You enjoy seeing what is going on around you and you are very social. You greet most people with a smile and express yourself with your hands. We are going to continue working with you on some baby sign language you so can express yourself better. You seem to really like it when we understand what you mean with your talking and hand motions.

Since summer time is coming and mom will be home from school, we are looking forward to having more outings and adventures. The past ten months have flown by!
